Jason Kim is a Ph.D. candidate in Accounting at the MIT Sloan School of Management, and he is on the 2026–2027 academic job market.

His research interests lie in auditing, regulation, and the organizational design of accounting work. He is particularly interested in how ownership structure and regulation shape audit quality and audit market competition.

Prior to his studies at MIT, he worked as an auditor at KPMG Korea. He holds an M.S. in Accounting and a B.A. in Business Administration from Seoul National University, and is a licensed CPA (inactive) in South Korea.
